The village of Chiocchio on the road between Florence and Greve in Chianti

Chiocchio is useful as a base for exploring the parts of Chianti near Florence and for those who want to stay in the country while being able to visit Florence easily. Chiocchio has an ARCI Circolo for coffee and sandwiches and there is also a quite good restaurant here. This is also a good place to stay for anyone using Ugolino Golf Course which is just a few km away. The turnoff from SR222 passing through the attractive Cintoia Valley to La Panca and then to Greve in Chianti is also very near Chiocchio.
