It’s quite a good base for those who plan to visit Florence often but who wish to spend their vacation in the country. Florence is easily accessibly from Strada by bus or car (20 km, less than 30 minutes).<\/p>\n

It seems that the Lombards built the Church now dedicated to St. Christopher on the foundations of an Etruscan fortress. The recent restorations brought to light the original apse located under the current altar and dating from before the year 1000. Inside the church there is a beautiful olive wood crucifix decorated by Neri di Bicci around 1440.<\/p>\n

The local Strada in Chianti festival is held every year on the third Sunday of September.<\/p>\n
